How To Use The IPATheIPA is meant to be an information portal. We preach that knowledge is power. If you have a question or simply want to share your knowledge with the world, our forum will enable you to reach millions of individuals. Our website is composed of 6 key components. Below is a list of each component with a brief description of how they are used. As you keep reading, we will go into detail regarding each component of theIPA. Article Repository : This is a database of articles related to topics commonly researched on the internet. Don't worry, if you don't find what you are looking for, we have in-house experts ready to answer any question! Question & Answer Experience : As people ask our experts questions, we prefer to share everything with the members of our community. Through the questions and answers experience, you will not only be able to see an answer to your question, you will be able to see how different experts have addressed your question. Social Media : We want to bring experts together with users. By creating a web of social media, we are going to enable you to follow any expert who you deem to be interesting. Simply create an account and then, follow any expert who's article you enjoyed! Keyword Research : Everyone searches these days by entering their questions into a search field and then selecting from results. Our website is no different. We just go the extra mile and if you don't see what you are looking for, we allow you to ASK THE EXPERTS! Relational Education : Our team has developed technology which allows us to identify when two articles are related. For example, if you are reading about the Indian Jones movies, you might also be interested in reading about what others have said about the Indian Jones books. Maybe you want to see other movies that Harrison Ford has starred in. All of this is accomplished by our proprietary relational content technology. Members Area : Our members area will allow you to customize your profile, ask questions, write articles and engage yourself into our community. This is what theipa.org is all about. We created the concept nearly 2 years ago, and have been working around the clock to build the infrastructure to make this happen. Rome wasn't built in a day, but we hope that these 2 years have created a strong foundation for the adventure we are about to embark on. We hope that everyone joins our community and shares their knowledge with the world. Simply sign up for an account at the top right area where it says SIGN UP. It is free, quick and painless. Let's review each of the sections in more detail. Articles : Our initial articles were written by an internal team of writers. Over time, we are confident that users from around the world will begin to engage in the website and they will start to offer a variety of insight. Through careful research, we created a hierarchy of information which we felt catered to the majority of the public. If you take a moment to look through the navigation on the left hand side of the website, you will notice that it expands into sub-categories. These sub-categories were carefully selected to cover as much information on the selected topics as possible. Questions : The purpose of questions and answers on our site were to give people the ability to ask a question and have multiple experts answer. In addition, we felt that posting the question for others to read would help educate more online users. When I was in college, everyone was always in fear of asking a question. They were curious if the teacher would think they were stupid. They were scared that their peers would think they were slowing down the class. I remember having those exact fears myself. With theipa.org, you have the ability to post a question anonymously on the internet and have an expert in that field provide the answer. Most times, you will receive answers from multiple experts. We know that opinions vary, that is why we open up the question and answer component of our website to many experts. One question could receive 1 to 100's of responses from experts. I have always found that I am able to connect better with certain people. That connection is created based on the way in which they answer questions. Many people provide quick, short answers which do not allow me to understand the conclusion. Others take the time to explain their respond in detail. Everyone is different and theipa is attempting to provide a universal forum where everyone can stay informed! Social Media : Social media has taken over our world. The youth of America is more interested in knowing what Johnny, Billy, Susie or Betty are doing that they synchronize their phones in order to get updates on their friends activities. Well, why not do the same with articles and questions? If you find an expert that you find to be knowledgeable on a subject of interest, FOLLOW THEM. By following an expert, you will be able to see any time they post an article, any time they answer a question, and any time they post a question. I am an avid fan of soccer and football psychology. I have coached kids for many years at very high levels and I have come to the conclusion that psychology and the approach to sports is 80% of the battle in professional sports. I enjoy hearing the opinions of experts on the field of sports psychology. You better believe that if I find an expert I like, I wil be following them to read other ideas and opinions! Keyword Research : You probably found our website by entering information into a search engine. We consider ourselves a specialized search engine of knowledge. All of our articles and questions are reviewed by human editors before they are released to the public. This ensures that if you are searching something on our website, you will be provided with quality information. When you search for a specific keyword, we give you matching articles and matching questions. If you feel that none of the results are giving you what you are looking for, we encourage you to ASK THE EXPERTS. Our team of experts will respond to your questions Relational Research : When you find what you are looking for on our website, we use proprietary technology, to identify articles or questions related to what you are looking for. As we explained above, this entails find articles that are closely related to your topic of research. If I am trying to learn about coaching adolescent children in soccer, I might also be interested in articles that speak about sports psychology. Even articles that talk about dealing with young athletes in any sport. Using relations to expand your knowledge is extremely powerful. Many times, we do our research on a topic but we leave many stones unturned. Our goal is to enable you to learn, research and grow in every possible manner. Members Area : Our members area will allow you to fully engage in our community. The experience begins with identifying any areas in which you feel you could become an expert. Our team will review your selections and if everything is approved, you will become an expert in those specific areas. This means that other visitors researching those topics will be turning to you for advice! How does that feel? I don't know about you, but I feel like I have a lot of knowledge to share! ;) As a member, you will be able to submit articles of your choice. If we don't have a category created for your article, simply suggest the category and our team will attempt to create the appropriate flow to showcase your knowledge! Members will also be able to write on topics that we have identified to be important to internet users. Through careful research, we have identified what people are looking for on the internet, and we created theipa as a forum in which to answer those questions. Remember, if you selected areas of expertise, you now have the responsibility of being an expert. Others will be looking to you for answers! The member area will give you the ability to see questions other users have posted and enable you to provide an answer. Finally, make sure you take the time to create your profile. When others choose to follow you, they will want to know why you feel that you are an expert. Everyone has their own reasons for being an expert. There is no right or wrong here. For example, my resume states that I am an expert in child sports psychology. Why? Because I spent 15 years coaching soccer. Many of those years were spent working with sports psychologists and trying to implement their ideas. Some worked, some didn't. I want to share my knowledge with other people out there. The beauty of this forum is that while I share my ideas, you don't have to use them ;).... Let the knowledge begin! |
