Attention Sports Fans!!!
Do you live with someone who is a major sport fan? Does it drive you crazy when they jump up on the couch and scream and cheer, or have a bunch of buddies over that eat all of your food?
Do you ever wonder why they are so dedicated to their passion for sports? Well, maybe if we explained why sports fans do what they do, and you learned the history of sports fans, you would understand more where they come from.First of all, most sports fans center their attention to one specific sport, or more so to a certain team. This team is usually the team from where they live or grew up (i.e., grew up in Texas, fan of the Dallas Cowboys).
Also, it is considered (among sports fans) a really big deal to own an object (i.e., a baseball used in a home-run by a favorite baseball team). These objects can commonly sell for large sums of money on eBay or Amazon. It isn’t just any object. You could probably buy that baseball or basket ball for twenty bucks at Sports Authority, but the fact that it was held by a sports star, especially a winning sports star, is what makes it valuable.
Now, sports fans can follow sports two different ways: on TV and in the stands at the actual games. But don’t get the idea that the sports fan watching the game on TV is any less of a sports fan than the one at the game. Many in-home sports fans throw big parties with other sports fans. This is where you can experience sports fans behavior first hand. Sports fans behavior usually includes wearing the team’s jersey, and painting your face with the team’s symbol. Sports fans parties also usually include fans that consume tons and tons of food. Like the Super Bowl. Millions of people gather together that time of the year, even non-sports fans, just to eat food! Grocery stores also participate for the super bowl, and bring in loads of business from people buying food and drinks for their Super Bowl parties.
There are several reasons that a person can become a sports fan. One is just for the entertainment. Being exited and dedicated is FUN! Another reason is that people want to devote themselves to their home state. The final reason is simple. Screaming and cheering is commonly a given stress-reliever.
So does it make more sense now? Sports fans aren’t just obnoxious people gluing their eyes to a TV. They are real dedicated people who enjoy being involved with a hobby that has gone on for ages. There is a special connection between players on a team and their fans. Sports teams need their fans’ support. It gives them something to look forward to. When they win a game, they can come home to hundreds of adoring fans. So look at the sport fan that you live with a little differently. Look at them as a support team.
