Horses truly are graceful, beautiful, and magnificent creatures.  While horses do possess some instinctive wild ways, once trained they can be obedient, wonderful pets to have.  There is nothing like the sincere relationship between a person and their horse.  Horses are huge and beautiful, and riding on the amazing animals is a memorable experience.

Training horses is a high responsibility but a very rewarding experience.  Trainers need to have patience and a lot of knowledge regarding horses before taking on the task of training a horse.  True horse lovers are often passionate about training and raising horses and being the most dedicated horse owners they can be.  Every horse trainer had to start at the beginning in learning about horse health, horse grooming, horse supplies, and many more concepts.  It is crucial to know which signs convey that your horse is having issues such as the horse being lame (limping), a horse not eating which could be a symptom of colic or that they need their teeth floated, or that a horse begins to have hives, showing they may be allergic to something.  There are also many supplies needed to groom and take care of a horse properly.  Horses need to be brushed, and they need their hooves picked out using a hoof pick quite frequently. Once horses are donned with optional leg gear, a pad, saddle, and bridle, they are ready to go; unless, of course, you are choosing to ride bareback.

There are so many different breeds of horses, but some of the most common breeds are Paint horses, Quarter horses, Appaloosas, Arabians, Clydesdales, Ponies, Palominos, Thoroughbreds, Miniature horses, Mustangs, and Pinto horses.  Each breed is suitable to own as a pet, but the different breeds are unique in both their physical characteristics and their ability to perform different tasks.  For example, Quarter horses are great all-around, versatile horses while Thoroughbreds are used in horse racing, and Clydesdales are used to pull large wagons due to their sturdy frame.  Breeding horses is also a task that requires great experience and knowledge of horses.  With breeding, different breeds of horses can be mixed to create a unique and gorgeous new type of horse.

Relating to horses and taking care of them is a huge responsibility but a fantastic pastime.  Horseback riding is certainly a passion for many people, and it is crucial for riders to understand the diverse aspects of horses like supplies, horse feeding, horse habitats, grooming, and safety precautions.  With horse feeding, horses are usually fed two to three times a day and an owner can choose between feeding hay or pellets to their horse.  Owners should possess all proper supplies for riding a horse, as well as de-worm their horses often and possibly feed them different supplements so their horses remains healthy.  In the wild, horse habitats consist of a large span of grass areas that horses are free to roam.  When owned, horses are more confined to stalls, but they should be let out into arenas and other open areas to receive the proper exercise.

Many people, especially young girls, join riding clubs to share their passion with other horse lovers and become even more involved in the wonderful and exciting world of horses.
