Friendships
Friendships are truly treasured relationships in life today. Friends get you through tough times and are there to fall back on when you are in need. True friends love you no matter what, and often times they become as close as family. Friends are always there to lend a helping hand, and a good friend will stand by you in life’s ups and downs and be your hand to hold and your shoulder to cry on. Friendships rely on helping friends in need and being supportive, loyal, and compassionate at all times. Creating friendships can be quite easy for the outgoing conversationalist, but it is often difficult for shy and reserved people. Usually, when people are around each other for a certain period of time and share some of the same traits and values, they can easily become friends. Making friends is sometimes easier when you are young because people tend to be more accepting of the differences of others. As we get older, we sometimes become more judgmental and wary of people that are different than us. Despite this, people still try to make an effort to make friends when they get older and be considerate of others. The friends we make when we are young often have the potential of turning into everlasting relationships. Maintaining friendships should not be too difficult of a task if a friendship is meant to be. Keeping a friendship means always being there for each other and knowing that resolving conflicts with friends is a crucial component of friendship. Even the best of friends do not always agree on all subjects, but it is the way friends bring resolutions to issues that shows the endurance and dedication toward a friendship. Sometimes you may find that after making friends with a person, they do not end up being someone you truly want to be friends with. This realization could come quickly after becoming friends or even years after because people are able to change greatly in life. Often times, young people can change due to social changes such as the transition into high school. A friend you had throughout elementary school and middle school could change significantly during the course of high school, causing you to separate and find people that still encompass the same morals and values as you. Ending friendships can be a tough task, but it may be necessary when people just are not the same as they used to be. There are so many friendship poems and friendship quotes in the world today. Tons of books and other sources display meaningful, heartwarming poems that so many friends can relate to. Teen friendship poems target a younger audience that can understand the significance and underlying message of such poems. Friendship quotes are also found to be very meaningful such as the quote, “Friends are the family we choose for ourselves.” Friendships are ultimately based on love, understanding, and the dedication of friends to stick together through thick and thin. Even friends that are far apart can still be pen pals and keep in touch to have a lasting relationship. As people get older, they may find themselves finding old friends again and reconnecting with past acquaintances to build even stronger relationships. Friendships truly are wonderful relationships to cherish forever.
