Celebrating Easter is such a wonderful springtime experience because families can celebrate being together, taking part in all of the festive Easter traditions such as an Easter egg hunt, and, of course, to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

The fun and mystical aspect of Easter is centered around the Easter bunny, who is said to sneak into children’s rooms at night to bring them a beautiful basket full of Easter candy like a delectable chocolate bunny, chocolate eggs, jelly beans, a marshmallow egg, or caramel filled eggs.  Some children also may receive a memorable Easter gift such as a collector’s baby doll, the coolest new remote control car, or simply an adorable, pastel colored plush bunny.  Some families celebrate Easter in the way that the Easter bunny comes early in the morning to hide all of the eggs, and when the children wake up, they run outside with Easter baskets to find the wonderful Easter eggs.  Other families have a tradition where the children stay inside while all of the adults hide the eggs, and when they are all hidden, the children run outside to find all of the eggs.  All Easter traditions are equally fun and exciting for children, and kids are free to enjoy all of the delicious goodies found in their Easter basket as well as beautifully decorated hard boiled eggs.

A large aspect of Easter is the Easter decorations along with festive traditions like dying eggs.  There is a vast array of decorations available to people such as pastel colored quilts, small bunny or Easter egg figurines, gel-like window decorations in the shapes of eggs, bunnies, or chicks, and all sorts of egg or bunny shaped decorations in gorgeous pastel colors.  These decorations are also perfect for Easter parties where families gather to celebrate Easter with an Easter egg hunt and most definitely an abundance of food.  During this wonderful springtime holiday, numerous festive Easter foods are prepared such as possibly a large, juicy ham, casseroles, mashed potatoes, and tons of desserts like delicious, pastel colored cakes or adorable, homemade sugar cookies covered with festive sprinkles.

Dying and coloring Easter eggs is amongst one of the most popular and fun traditions of this holiday.  There are numerous egg dying kits available for consumers these days like neon colors or sparkles that can be added to the eggs.  Dying eggs is a time for the family to come together to create such colorful and creative designs on a large amount of hard-boiled Easter eggs.  Children are also usually very excited to find their magnificent creations hidden in many places during the annual Easter egg hunt.

While there are so many traditions and ways of celebrating the amazing holiday of Easter, people still keep in mind the real reason for celebrating it.  While the background of the holiday is a serious event concerning the love the Jesus felt for all people, there are still so many magical and festive components that people look forward to with each coming year.  There is nothing like seeing the joy and excitement on a child’s face when they come across their Easter basket full of every candy imaginable.  Easter is such a great time for families to get together to enjoy each other’s company and life in general.
